Why might I need a breast pump?
Most mums pump at some point, and the reasons are as different as the babies. Not every mum needs one, but most find it gives them more flexibility and a little more of themselves back.
Why choose a wearable over a traditional pump?
A traditional pump keeps you near a power point and attached to tubes, several times a day. A wearable sits inside your bra with no cords, so you can pump at your desk, on the commute or while holding your baby, quietly and without anyone needing to know.
Is a wearable strong enough to keep up my supply?
Glow reaches up to 320mmHg, so wearable doesn’t have to mean weaker. Every body responds differently, and flange fit matters as much as suction. If supply is a worry, a local IBCLC can help you with your routine.

Should I work with a lactation consultant?
We always recommend it. A pump works best alongside the right support, and a local IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) can help with breastfeeding, pumping, flange sizing, milk supply and returning to work.

Choosing your pump
Should I choose the Glow or the Move?
Both are cordless, hands-free wearable pumps. Glow is our most complete kit, with six flange sizes and a nipple ruler, a spare motor, a travel case, a built-in night light and a slightly quieter motor. Move comes with a 24mm flange, with other sizes available separately, and also comes as a single.
Will the flanges actually fit me?
Nipples aren’t one size, which is why so many first pumps hurt and underperform. Glow comes with six flange sizes (13, 15, 17, 19 and 21mm, plus 24mm installed) and a nipple ruler, so you can find your fit on day one. 11mm and 27mm are available separately. Move comes with a 24mm flange, and other sizes can be bought separately.
If pain continues, stop pumping and speak with an IBCLC, GP or midwife. Our Expert Partners can help with flange sizing.
How much cleaning is involved?
Glow breaks down to just four parts per pump, and a mini cleaning brush for the fiddly bits is in the box. Less washing up means you’ll actually use it.
Buying with confidence
Can I claim it on my private health insurance?
Bubka is Australian owned and operated, and Glow meets the requirements typically needed for health fund claims on wearable breast pumps. Every fund is different, so check your policy and waiting periods with your provider.
What if it doesn’t work for me?
Choose Try Before You Buy at checkout. The amount is only held, not charged, and you get 7 days to pump with it at home.
Glow has a 12-month warranty on both motors and 90 days on parts. Your 12 months start from your baby’s date of birth, not the day you buy, so just get in touch when bub arrives.
Try Before You Buy is available to new Bubka pump customers only.
If you choose to return your pump, it must be sent back within 3 days of completing your trial. A $40 restocking fee + return shipping applies.
Promo codes and discounts can’t be used on Try Before You Buy orders.
If an item isn’t returned before the trial ends, the full purchase amount will be charged.
Will I get help if I need it?
Always. We’re an Australian family business based in Alexandria, Sydney, and our speedy mum support team is waiting for your call. They can help with setup, flange fit and troubleshooting.
Most orders arrive within 2–4 business days, with remote areas taking a little longer, and you’re welcome to request a pick-up from Alexandria.
